This 3-4 day workshop will be hosted by the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC) at Incline Village, Nevada. Key participants have been selected from the US, Chile and Japan. Each participant is an accomplished expert in a relevant field and is knowledgeable about historical information of the candidate lakes and Pacific rim lakes in general. This workshop will set a scientific framework for evaluating lake responses to climatic forcing and improving the predictability of future climate impacts on lake ecosystems and associated societal impacts.
Please fill out this Lake Data Survey as completely as you can. The more information we have on each lake, the better equipped we are in writing a proposal. The first section includes some general lake parameters and background details. The second section consists of the data inventory broken up by physical, biological, chemical, and climate, with a section at the bottom of each to provide further description. Notices that we need the date range, collection frequency, units of measure, and whether this data is currently in an electronic format. The last section is a series of questions which will help us classify this lake.
